Genealogic discourse of Olena Pchilka’s prose.

Abstract

Genre range of Olena Pchilka’s prose indicates frequent writer appeals to the genre of the story, which was her favorite form. This specialty of poetess’ style is associated with the type of her artistic thinking, which are matched with smaller literary forms of local scenes, precise composition, significant opportunities for the implementation of the lyrical vision of the world. Contentious is the issue of early prose genre attempts of Olena Pchilka. The author herself said that the works „Light of Good and Love” and „Friends” are stories. However, these works, in addition to a significant amount, are characterized by lengthy deployments depicting events that are grouped around the main characters they tend to a large number of actors, representation of prehistory life of the characters, the presence of urban landscape sketches and paintings work. Construction of the author’s works features the extensive use of dialogue, debate, in which clearly emerges worldview characters. These features make it possible to qualify the „Light of Good and Love” and „Friends” of Olena Pchilka as a genre of a story. The writer gains the deep insight into the state of characters mind by the representation of the internal monologue. Olena Pchilka very often appealed to writing of the so-called „Christmas” or „Holiday” stories that are canonical and schematic. The main function of this genre is to amuse the reader with a variety of festive adventures that usually have a happy ending. Thus, in addition to stories „Amusing Evening”, „Chad”, „Masquerade”, a masterpiece of the genre „festive story” Christmas cycle is the writing „Confused Supper” that refers to the accident, which occurred on Christmas Eve with an ordinary boy Omelko who was going to go with kutia to his godparentsThe stories „Save”, and „In Truth” of Olena Pchilka are worth noting, which represented her experience for sectarian gatherings. The story „Save” is the most tragic work among Olena Pchilka’s works. The story „In Truth”, written under the influence of the writers communication with „shtundysty” and is in its own innovative. Its innovation, in our opinion, is the representation of the spiritual life and faith not only of intellectuals and students in particular, but of ordinary farmers, as the main character of the work, laundress Nedezya is the representative of the working class. Indicative is the appeal of Olena Pchilka to writing essays. A characteristic feature of the essay as a genre is the consistency of presentation, which indicates the proximity of the essays to the scientific literature. This small volume of works contains the writers philosophical reflections of infinity life guaranteed by children.
